Back in the saddle........again.

Got back from N.C. on Friday and then we took the kids to New Orleans on Monday to fly to Miami to see the Miami Beach sister. Mark and I got to spend a day and a half in New Orleans eating and eating and eating at all of our favorite restaurants: Cajun Cabin, Acme Oyster Bar, and of course, Cafe du Monde. Fun, fun, fun. Going back to N.O. Sunday to pick them up. Finally got a new pair of shoes yesterday and ran in them this morning. Lesley(?) was very helpful and patient. The old Garmin said I did 4.5 miles. Felt pretty good. Last week, I found a Southwest special fare flight to Los Angeles for the Disneyland Half. I don't know who's more excited, me or my friend Jackie. I haven't seen her in 13 (?) years, and have never met her husband and two boys. It's going to be a blast running with her; she is so funny. If anyone has any suggestions about which attractions, other then Disneyland, she needs to take me to, let me know. Now it's time to tighten down the screws on the workout schedule. I'm going to meet an old LMMer and Hallie at 7am tomorrow and do 5-6 miles. Good luck to all doing the fifteen. I look forward to cheering some of you in tomorrow. If you've come this far, you can do fifteen.

Hope your run went good today. I have had an awful week. I will be glad to get back on schedule this next week. I woke up this morning at home to a monsoon! I managed a measley 2 miles this afternoon and the rains came back and completely soaked me. This too shall pass.
